AIRA President’s Letter
Dear AIRA Members:
With Labor Day upon us, the summer
draws to its traditional end. I hope everyone had a chance to
find time for relaxation before starting what promises to be a
busy fall. As post summer business commitments begin to crowd
calendars, I thought I would take this opportunity to remind you
of a number of upcoming events.
Hosted at the Ernst & Young
Conference Center at 5 Times Square on Monday, September 29th,
and with sponsorship from Arent Fox Kintner Plotkin & Kahn,
PLLC, Kaye Scholer LLP, and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy
LLP, the AIRA will hold a Plan of Reorganization Conference followed
by a cocktail reception.
During the NCBJ’s 77th
Annual Conference in San Diego from October 15th to 18th, two
events organized in conjunction with the AIRA should be on your
calendars.
The first is the AIRA Financial
Professionals Dessert Reception from 10 pm to midnight on October
15th. BDO Seidman, CBIZ, Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young
Corporate Finance, FTI Consulting, Huron Consulting Group, Kroll
Zolfo Cooper, and Neilsen Elggrin are jointly sponsoring this
event.
On Saturday morning, October
17th the AIRA sponsored breakfast will bring together Steve Cooper,
Rick Cieri, Patrick Corr and Simon Freakley to discuss current
issues in cross-border restructuring.
And for those of you in the Southeast,
Anthony’s at 3109 Piedmont Road in Atlanta will be the locale
for a networking and social reception for existing and prospective
AIRA members on Wednesday, October 29th.
You can find more information
on these events, as well as CIRA course schedules, by visiting
our recently redesigned AIRA website at www.airacira.org.
With best regards, I remain
Very truly yours,
Jim Lukenda
