Editor’s Letter

This is my first issue as the Editor of the AIRA newsletter. I was a bit nervous about accepting the position given my other responsibilities, but the pro-fessionalism and talent of the people involved have made this a truly rewarding process.

I would especially like to thank the fol-lowing people for their efforts on this news-letter: Grant Newton for his solicitation of articles; David Noak at the AIRA for his organization and expertise with layout and desktop publishing; and Jennifer Ginzinger in my offi ce for her diligent proofi ng and comments on each article. I look forward to working with each of you for the next year.

To my fellow members of the AIRA, I would like to ask for your continued support of this newsletter. Please feel free to submit articles or suggestions at any time. Encour-age your co-workers to use this as a forum for sharing their expertise and building their professional contacts.

We would like to create a venue where you can also comment on topical issues of concern by submitting a letter to the Editor. Feel free to comment on legislative, judicial, fi nancial or economic trends. Submit your letter via email or regular mail to myself or the AIRA offi ces. We will do our best to publish these on a timely basis.

Sincerely,
Peter Stenger, Editor

Mr. Stenger is a Director in the Restructuring & Performance Improvement group at Stout Risius Ross, Inc., and is responsible for strategic, operational, and fi nancial consulting solutions for turnaround and underperforming clients.
