AIRA President’s
Letter |
Dear AIRA Members:
It is hard to step in as the
President of the AIRA without recognizing how our organization
has progressed since inception. Listening to the comments from
Alexander Knopfler, CIRA, a pioneer of the organization, and assimilating
the quality and depth of the 2004 AIRA Conference, it is evident
that the AIRA is the premier organization with emphasis on quality
education for our members. Many thanks to our past leaders, outgoing
President Jim Lukenda, Grant Newton and the entire staff of the
Executive Office for a job very well done and their perpetual
dedication. I must extend the gratitude of the organization to
our conference co-chairs, Bill Wallander, John Tittle and Lan
Haverfield and the entire Planning Committee. I also thank all
the sponsors for their generosity during the 2004 Conference.
Their contribution to a successful conference is greatly appreciated.
During my term as President,
it is the organization’s goal to continue to develop such
programs as the Annual Conference and the new Certification in
Distressed Business Valuation (CDBV).
I particularly appreciated our
recent cooperation with ABI to offer the “First Days of
Chapter 11” session at the Annual Conference. We look forward
to bringing you other cooperative educational sessions in the
future.
Best wishes,
Soneet R. Kapila
President
