Quarterly Review of Delaware and Third Circuit Decisions
Through the efforts of Joel A. Waite, Esq., and his colleagues at the law firm of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP, the AIRA will be presenting a quarterly report of significant cases decided by the Bankruptcy and Chancery Courts in Delaware and Third Circuit. The first Delaware and Third Circuit Bankruptcy Update was emailed to all AIRA members on January 24, 2007, and contained extensive coverage of important cases from 2006. We anticipate presenting additional regular reviews for decisions from the other Circuits. Please provide us your comments on this important addition to the services AIRA provides to its members at gnewton@airacira.org. We want to extend our special thanks to Joel and Young Conaway for their excellent contribution to the AIRA. |

Make your plans now to attend the AIRA’s 23rd Annual Conference in Chicago on June 6-9, 2007 at the Westin Chicago River North Hotel.
Our conference co-chairs, Robert Morris of Morris Anderson & Associates Ltd. and Keith Shapiro of Greenberg Traurig, have developed an excellent program with the help of the local planning committee, consisting of:
Konstantinos Armiros (Arnstein & Lehr LLP), David Bart (RSM McGladerey Inc), Michael Colella (Plante & Moran PLLC), John Collen (Duane Morris LLP), Paul Fouts (Fouts & Co), Keith Francis (BBK), Kevin Krakora (Mesirow Financial Consulting), Barry Lefkowitz (Virchow Krause & Co), Colleen Lowmiller (FTI Consulting), Ken Malek (Grant Thornton LLP), Jim Mesterharm (AlixPartners LLC), Rick Nathan (Trenwith Group LLC), Michael Pakter (Gould & Pakter Associates LLC), Bernard Pump (Deloitte Financial Advisory Services), Edward Quinn (Deloitte Financial Advisory Services), Nancy Ross (High Ridge Partners), Nathan Schultz (Stutman Treister & Glatt), Kelly Struck (Huron Consulting), Nick Tally (Wells Fargo), Brian Whittman (Alvarez & Marsal), Dan Wikel (Huron Consulting), Eric Winston (Stutman Treister & Glatt) and Daniel Zazove (Perkins Coie).
One of the features of the program will be two specialty sessions tailored for small lenders and equity funds. The small lender session will deal with restructuring professionals who work with smaller businesses. This forum and deal mart will provide an opportunity lenders willing and able to lend under $5 million to troubled companies to showcase their offering. The equity fund session is for restructuring professionals who have occasion to seek a small-dollar investor, and for those willing to invest under $5 million into a troubled situation.
If you would like to be involved in either of these business opportunity programs, please send your information to Justin McCord at jmccord@airacira.org.
If you haven’t already, you should be receiving both a brochure in the mail and an email announcement promoting the conference. Take advantage of the early registration price and sign-up on our website, www.airacira.org.
I look forward to seeing you in Chicago in June to make this our best conference to date!
