President's Letter

Alan D. Holtz

Dear AIRA Members:

The Association’s Board of Directors recently held its winter meeting, and we spent a good amount of time discussing ways to make membership in AIRA even more rewarding to professionals in our field. Our focus was in the following major areas:

Membership–growing the Association and continuing efforts to diversify our membership ranks; providing services of high interest to members

Certification Programs–expanding both the CIRA and CDBV programs, keeping content up to date and focusing on high-quality teaching and unique aspects of these programs

Communications–continuing to communicate effectively with members, through the AIRA Journal, website, directories and email announcements

Programming–meeting both the educational and networking needs of members through regional and annual events

One of the key points of discussion was the importance of getting more members involved in the various Association committees to help address the above issues and other areas. In the coming months you will hear more about AIRA’s committees–I hope you will choose to become involved in one or more areas suited to your interests.

I also hope you are thinking about attending our Annual Conference in Las Vegas on June 4-7, 2008, and I look forward to the opportunity to see many of you there.

Warm regards,

Alan D. Holtz
